There’s Still Time to Celebrate Earth Week! April 22-27, 2019

Step outside, support the planet, and enjoy the spring weather at these Earth Week events at Waubonsee Community College:

Thursday, April 25:  Electronics Recycling Event
Drop off electronics (no TVs) for recycling in the Student Center   parking lot from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Friday, April 26:  Commemorative Tree Planting Ceremony
Join the celebration at 1:00 p.m. at the southeast corner of Collins parking lot for a presentation by Spring Bluff Nursery.  The winner of Monday’s planter design competition will be announced, and attendees will receive a small tree purchased from the Arbor Day Foundation.

Saturday, April 27:  Bird Walk
Bring your own binoculars and meet at 8:00 a.m. at the Student Center entrance for a Bird Walk led by Vernon LaVia – discover the many species of birds found on campus and its surrounding trails.

These FREE events are located on the Sugar Grove Campus and are open to the public, students, and employees.
